Police can make 'sinister associations' when dealing with black men and American police are facing a 'crossroads' in race relations, the director of the FBI has warned.
James Comey made an unprecedented speech about policing and race issues at Georgetown University today - becoming the first director of the FBI to speak at length about the issue.
Mr. Comey made the speech, called ‘Hard Truths: Law Enforcement and Race’, at a time when racial tensions with police in America are high, following the police shootings of Michael Brown in Ferguson in August and Eric Garner in New York.
Mr. Comey admitted that officers had to acknowledge that ‘much of our history is not pretty’ and that they had to change.
He said police officers who work in neighborhoods where most street crime is committed by young black men may hold unconscious biases which means they can be tempted to take a 'mental shortcut' in dealing with suspicious situations.
'The two young black men on one side of the street look like so many others the officer has locked up,' he said.
'Two young white men on the other side of the street - even in the same clothes - do not. The officer does not make the same sinister association about the two white guys, whether that officer is white or black.'

Does that mean the black men will change too? Of course not but now the officers be viewed as weak and the fun will begin. They could be much more effective if the parents would hold their children accountable and enforce discipline; in other words just do their jobs.
After the 2014 election, some thought it was no longer accurate. I said that putting the R’s in control will allow us to see where everyone stands via their ACTIONS. It’s going to be interesting to watch what really happens. I trust the R’s about .01% more than the D’s. As far as I’m concerned they are like the offense and defense of the same team.
Let the race hustlers tell us why complaining about the gender disparity in prisons is any different from their argument.

I was actually depressed after the 2014 election, because it meant that the traitorous Establishment Republicans no longer had to PRETEND to be the opposition. As my tagline states, I’m still batting 1,000.

Yep and the current administration, Soros, the UN, and ISIS / Islam are fast owaring us right into it. All predicted in Revelation in the bible and yet athiests still deny there is a God.
The thing is, the US is founded on the Constitution. The constitution is founded on God given rights to a single citizen and we are all to be treated equal and the law is to be applied equally.
What this means is that any “law” that supports or condemns members of any “group” of citizens is unconstitutional. This is why the ERA was such a fiasco and Affirmative action was eventually wiped out.
And this means that regarding the treatment of “blacks” by representatives of the government is only relevant on a case by case basis. Two men of the same race can be arrested for identical crimes on the same night in the same neighborhood. One may have been blatant racism while the other was a righteous arrest.

Cops can learn from past experiences. Those past experiences tell the cops that blacks are far more likely to be criminals than whites, and thus are rightfully seen as more probably criminals than whites.
Cops also learned that orientals are far less likely than blacks to be criminals.
Cops even learned that Jews were also unlikely criminals.
What the article demonstrates is that while a cop on the street can learn from experience, the FBI head evidently can’t, nor can the Regime.
