Well, I didn't see any other stories posted, and this morning was the first I have heard of the shootings. Also, the shooter's identity and motives are all being newly reported this morning, so it is in fact an update, if other stories have been posted.

So why was it moved to General Chat out of news anyway? Not enough Jeb Bush or ISIS in it?

Happens all the time. Not unusual to see 6-8 different sources posted during the day on one event.

IMO, the reason why your story was moved to chat was because you posted in Breaking.
