Needs to be remade ...
I'm 65+ y/o and I can't recall one movie remake that was equal to or better than the original.
Besides, the cast is irreplaceable.

Then do another Devil's Brigade movie. The absence of the Johnson weaponry and the lack of hardcore battle scenes hurts the original, as does the Hollywood silliness popular in war movies of the era.
