Blackhawk Down, We Were Soldiers, Saving Private Ryan, and the recent spate of war movies are “krap?” How about making it more realistic? None of the battle footage I’ve seen of Anzio was sanitized. You may like cliche Krauts and lovable screw-ups but it really takes me out of the movie.

I say again - with very, very, rare exception, Hollyweird has produced nothing but krap the last 25 years.
If someone wants non-stop blood and guts, unending action and extreme noise, let them play a video game.

You believe any movie - especially a war movie - represents what really took place?

I’ve heard that the opening of Saving Private Ryan is very accurate. Blackhawk Down is probably pretty close. We Were Soldiers had survivors involved in production of the movie. There are newsreels of a lot of WW2 battles.
