The Nations Dave Zirin (the same journalist who brought us the genius idea that not cheering for the Seattle Seahawks is racist) wrote a post-Super Bowl column attributing the Seattle Seahawks horrible decision to throw a pass on the one-yard line in the final seconds of the game was due to the politics of race and an anti-Marshawn Lynch conspiracy. (VIDEO: Patriots And Seahawks Fans React To Malcolm Butlers Interception)
The theory, as relayed by Zirin, is that Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll called a pass because he wanted the young, clean-cut quarterback Russell Wilson to be seen as the game-winner, not the renegade running back Marshawn Lynch. The only source for this theory is a disgruntled anonymous figure in the Seahawks locker room.
Russell Wilson is your young clean-cut God-fearing media-perfect quarterback
Zirin writes, Hes Derek Jeter with a Bible, someone who comes across like he has never spoken out of turn in his entire life. Marshawn Lynch is
Marshawn Lynch.

It's Racism........RACISM........RACISM........RACISM!!
Isn’t the Seahawks QB black? How can it be racism if it’s still a black guy winning the game?
Yeah, but isn’t Russell Wilson colored too?
Zirin = Worst “Sports Writer” Evah.
Isn’t the QB also black?
discriminating against a black man in favor of another black man is also racist?
Sorry, but thanks to the immeasurable idiocy of the MSM, the term “racism” means nothing.
And as for the NFL, sorry, but the motto of the organization should be, “We’ve got the best felons in the business.”
Uhhh, isn’t Russell Wilson black?
Further proof that to the Left, “black” isn’t about skin color, but of culture.
One interesting thing coming out of this is it looks like there are issues in the Seattle locker room that did not involve Harvin.
Eeny, meeny, miney, mo,
Catch race-baiters by the toe;
‘Course they’ll holler, it’s always so:
Please, Dave Zirin, please just go.
“Further proof that to the Left, black isnt about skin color, but of culture.”
Spot on. I give you Clarence Thomas.
Apparently, the QB is too close to management so is not ‘black enough’. Starting to sound like the caste system in India.
“These idiots try to outdo one another with their preposterous stories.”
Come on, now. Are you trying to say that you did not expect this? ;-)
So the author is preaching to his collective choir
I blame skittles.
thank goodness this guy is around to set everyone straight (snicker)
Wilson isn’t Get Toe enough!
The Seahawks’ coach is such a white racist that he threw the game rather than let a black QB win. /s
