Any federal employee cut should have to interview with consultants to get their own job back.

I'd bet those Secret Service agents would love not having to protect that POS. I know its fun here at FR to bash federal employees on a regular basis and in many cases justifiably so.
But it is important to remember that Obama is about as popular with the employees at DHS as Ebola. He will not let them do their jobs and they know it is putting the country at great risk. Even the federal employees unions hate the guy.
He has cut their pay and is now using them and our national security as a political football to advance his agenda.
So we need to have some sympathy for DHS employees, they have to look at his picture every day they enter the building knowing he does not support their mission or their values.

Govt employees in the DC area have an average salary that is 75% higher than that of the rest of the country... I'm sure that is true ... but a jar of Miracle Whip doesn't cost $6.50 in Kansas ...

So... why DOES a jar of Miracle Whip (hwip) cost $6.50 in DC?
Real estate costs would be all that I could reasonably credit with such high prices.

Fine by me. They aren’t doing their jobs anyway. How about we also stop paying for Moo’s wagyu beef and lobster, the clown’s greens fees, “jr. staff” paychecks to the girls’ and grandma and ground AF-1.

Not to worry. The Dems killed the bill in the Senate

Wondering how large the latest check he wrote with his magic pen to our enemies was. Large enough that he has to pull this stunt to cover it.

I think the OP (dartuser) was half trying to justify the disproportionate salaries of federal government workers by pointing out the disparity in cost of living in DC vs Kansas.
However, what’s the cause of the high cost of living?
Could it be the salaries themselves that drive prices higher?

Yeah like that’s a bad thing? I guess he finally figured out his brownshirt army doesn’t like him either and wouldn’t shoot innocents as he had hoped they would. It’s a real beotch when you’re a tyrant and think its a one way street to lie to the People and then find out they’ve been lying about pledging their allegiance to you all along. You forgot they had brains, eh? I guess the brain stem pain enforcement implants will fix that, huh?

They include 40,000 employed by Customs and Border Protection, 50,000 Transportation Security Administration screeners, 13,000 Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and 40,000 Coast Guard personnel Custome and border protection........uhhhhh, TSA nitwits that frisk an Amish woman and pass through a woman in a burqua........uhhhhhh, immigration and custom enforcement personnel waving hello to tens of thousands of illegal immigrant children......uhhhhh
The Coast guard, O.K.....the rest???...inconsequential!
