April is disappointing us. We’re headed for rain and temperatures in the 30°s, 40°s, and low 50°s for the next
week. I suppose we’ll survive...

Speaking of grinnies (Ohio’s name for chipmunks):
Last Spring, the robins made their nests on the outside light fixtures on the deck and in the front of the house.
The chipmunks scampered up the brick walls, pushed all the hatchlings out of the nests, ran down, and ate them.
I have been ill disposed to the damnable things since then. We still have plenty of robins, but they are being very
careful with their babies this year, and I hope from now on.
Nsture, red in tooth and claw.
If you had outdoor cats, they would go after both the chipmunks and the robins.
