(It was right around that, maybe a bit lower - I didn't pay attention - and the outdoor cat's water bowl was frozen here in the much-farther-North this morning. It now says we are at 40° and going down to 26° over night.. Spring has been postponed but the daffodils are still trying to make an appearance.)
Also had two Black Vultures in the yard when I left for Church. When I feel like wandering outdoors, I will check if they consumed the dead possum that was for a while concealed in a snow bank and just lately had become visible again...
Ah, yes, frozen food.
We get the buzzards here too. They seem to like sitting on the light poles around traffic intersections. Now that ought to make people think, wouldn't you think? But it doesn't.
They just keep motoring around with their cell phones occupying their attention, and the buzzards overhead already.
I hope the vultures clean up the debris so they don’t go after the cats.
