When the Warmest Winter Eeeverrr is over, the plan is to reinforce the spots that have demonstrated weakness with whatever colour Gorilla I can find (Wallyworld only had the black.)
Actually they're not so much weak points as wear points from the whole structure writhing in the winds. It did take a few years, Sandy, other bigblowing storms and a massive roof snowload this Warmest Winter Eeeverrr to cause the worn areas to expose themselves though.
The weakened spots are where the cover passes over joints in the pipe frame. Apparently just that minor ridge coupled with the wind action abrades the cover and makes a thin spot, so I plan to wrap the joints in Gorilla to minimize abrasion come the Warmest Summer Eeeverrr that surely will follow the Warmest Winter Eeeverrr...
It's cheaper than buying a new cover, which is of course what ShelterLogic wishes.
It's just not as aesthetic. But the Olde Deere doesn't care...
