I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

Knock back some serious jungle juice

Well, if you're serious about it...

How to Make Great Jungle Juice

Any drink recipe that starts with quantities of Everclear certainly qualifies as Jungle Juice. Throw a little brake fluid for color and a fruity note if Hawaiian Punch is not available. For a real exotic foreign tang, do as the Ivans did in the ‘stan, a lot of glycol goes a long way.

A real retro jungle juice party becomes an ice breaking hit with large hits of Vitalis and Squirt. You’ll be shagging before you know it.

The traditional caution of limiting taste testers to no more than two sips during the mixing process must be rigorously enforced.

I’m sticking to coffee. It’s boring to be the only sober one at the party, but you guys are pretty entertaining, and I’m easily amused.

That looks almost lethal.

That lifted my spirits for about five seconds, and I appreciate that! LOL!

I’m sticking to water today. I don’t know why, but it seems like a good idea.

I think you’re correct..

And since I’ve been sober since 1982 I don’t think I want to investigate it either.. ;-)

Me, too. I’m going to go lie down with poor Jake, who really missed me. James is having a meltdown.

Poor Jake and James!

I trust Bill was still alive and kicking when you got back...

Water’s okay. But coffee done right is like drinking water with the biological equivalent of radiator stop-leak in it.

It helps bind up the loose chinks in your everyday armor.

Sometimes we’ve used “VRBO,” Vacation Rentals by Owner, but for Myrtle Beach we select from one of the big property-management companies, Dunes Realty.

It was fun! On Thursday some of the kids and I went to the garden again, while the others were shopping. We saw some things we missed and saw others again (like the otters).

I’m all broken out in spots from too much sun. Hopefully it will clear up soon if I resume my indoor habits. Jake is insisting I go to bed with him.

Bill was hastily trying to clean up his mess. The pets are all okay, and if he broke anything major, he replaced it ;-).

I’ve had my coffee for the day. Or not. Usually, one cup a day is enough, and sometimes, I don’t even have that. But today, I just want water.
I’m trying to get my computer to recognize the 3T slave, so I can access the files on it, but no luck, so far. I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t know what it is.
I need those files.

The continuing saga of the USPS and the put-the-carburetor-together-parts package...

Last episode we left the package-of-parts in USPS limbo somewhere after departing Kearny, NJ at 0230 on the 29th. Remember for reference sake that it takes only 90 minutes to drive from Kearny, NJ to here. It was opined at that time that the USPS had sent it to White Plains, NY (a 2 hour drive from Kearny, NJ and on the opposite side of the Hudson River) but nothing showed on the tracking all day long. Also keep in mind that USPS was still insisting that the package would be delivered on the 29th even after the mail-lady had made her circuit. Finally at 2356 tracking was updated to indicate that after taking 21 hours to negotiate a two hour drive, the package 'arrived' at White Plains. I'm sure the driver gets paid by the hour..

At 0430 White Plains again updated the tracking to read "Your item departed our USPS facility in WHITE PLAINS, NY 10610 on May 30, 2015 at 4:36 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination." It was noted that they still were indicating that it would be delivered on the 29th - maybe they are on the Julian Calendar..

Knowing that White Plains is prone to misdirect items it remains to be seen just what destination they think it should be going to.

Also as review, White Plains is a nominal 45 minute drive from here so an item leaving White Plains at 0430 should have been able to make it to our local postal facility in plenty of time to make it on our rural delivery truck by our mail-lady's departure time of 0930 - I mean, five hours seems ample time to drive a 45 minute trip. But then, that's only valid using logic. I'm thinking the USPS logic is fuzzy.

In any normal universe even if the package did not make the strenuous 45 minute trip in the five hours needed to get on the delivery truck, there has certainly been enough time for it to show up at the local postal facility and be scanned. But, no. What I now find is an addendum to their previous message authored by Captain Obvious that reads thusly...

"The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date. An updated delivery date will be provided when available. Your item departed our USPS facility in WHITE PLAINS, NY 10610 on May 30, 2015 at 4:36 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination." Except that by now it should have already been at the destination.

I am reminded that their name is US Postal Service. Out here in farm country that's what it's called when the animal husbandman brings his prize bull to your farm.

To 'service' the cows...

I think I'm being serviced.

Usually, one cup a day is enough,

That would of course depend on the size of that cup...

It would appear that you are well and truly “serviced”

About the size of two regular coffee mugs.

"... what it's called when the animal husbandman brings his prize bull to your farm. To 'service' the cows... I think I'm being serviced."

Recently, a major robbery took place ... on a farm. What was stolen was what the bull was willing to donate freely, but only to those tender-eyed young cows.

Instead, the material was taken from the bull, and one is left to imagine the animal's frustration about that, and it was "stored" in a refrigerated container.

That's what was stolen. I don't think the cows had anything to do with it.
