I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

What’s the price-per-pound on cats these days? I might be able to afford one.

Well, I’m sure there will be major protests in New York with people carrying signs saying #uniformedlivesmatter and screaming for people to care.

NOT

Coyotes get them around here.

This is Maryland, the dogs just herd them enough to make them leave the particular site. Though we do have coyotes now, which might explain the marked decrease in the local Canada population.

Maryland has folks that want to provide contraceptives to control the deer population.

One of my church friends told me that coyotes brought down a deer on her property last week ... just a couple hundred yards from the Interstate.

It is puckering up to rain. It’s really dark over the hills to the south of us, and the wind is pretty strong and pretty chilly.

I smell the rain in the air, and hear the thunder, but I think it is all show and no bite. It may just be making a lot of noise on it’s way northeast.

Sunny and 80-ish here. I’m giving the little children the traditional Star Wars Day meal: hot dogs and macaroni and cheese.

Oh that sounds SO good! (I wonder if I have any mac & cheese? I know I don’t have hot dogs, but it might be worth it to go buy some...)

Lucky byos.

I’ve been researching different license plates, and it looks as though I can get truck registered for $35 if I drive less than 5,000 miles a year.

There are three different categories, but the one I can get now, I think, is “Classic Rod,” where the vehicle has to be at least 20 years old.

There is also “Classic Vehicle” and “Old Timers” but the vehicles have to be 25 years old and pass the most recent smog test. I will have to call DMV about this, as I doubt Mr Bill will pass another smog test. Maybe I will call the DMV tomorrow and see if the truck qualifies.

I will hate to give up the personalized plates, but if it means I don’t have to go through so many changes each year, I will do it. I drive less that 5,000 miles a year, so that’s not a problem to qualify for. I’m just confused about the rest of it.

"This morning I nearly walked my wife and kissed my dog goodbye."

Oftwerk

The problem, as I see it, is the way the day starts out,
I mean, you’re sleeping soundly, and then you hear a shout.
Stupid darn alarm clock! A ghostly presence ... pale ...
Until some inner demon fires up its siren wail.

Oh, what a way to wake up. Who could smile to face the day?
When nerves are jangled at first light, even rainbows turn out gray.
And then you trudge out gamely. You persevere once more,
Go back six times for things that you forgot while at the door.

While gulping coffee madly, and scarfing down a snack,
You’re petting kids and kissing dogs as you keep running back.
To dash out to the driveway, gallumphing like a jerk,
It’s “seeyalater”, “outtahere”, and then it’s oftwerk.
