I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

My mind, certainly, isn’t stuck. Yesterday I let it wander and it took about 3 hours to track it down.

I stood out in the cold wind for 90 minutes waiting for the doors at DMV to open, the truck parked on a slight incline in case the battery decided to be recalcitrant, and it took less than five minutes to be stripped of $25 for a permit for ten days more. *sigh*

Now I need gasoline and a prescription which I still have to wait half an hour for. Don’t know about the gas...I won’t be able to get much of that, for sure.

Anyway, Sparkle was fine and if she tried to get into the closet, it didn’t work, so I’m happy. And she still had food left, though not enough for me to spend another day away. I will have to stay home the next week and try to catch up on the stuff I have let go, due to being so overwhelmed by everything.

Well, it looks like I’ll be able to quit my job soon and retire in style. I just got the most amazing message by Skype.

[12:51:02 PM] *** David Nkrumah would like to add you on Skype

Am Mr David Nkrumah the director of security, Lion heart security company ltd, sub headquarters Accra Ghana.
Am contacting you regarding a box containing 75 kilos of gold deposited in our company, and the depositor of the box who was a gold dealer had been reported to have died in the missing Malaysia plane MH370 sometime ago while on a business trip. My company has been searching for his next of kin, all efforts to locate any member of his family or close relatives has been unsuccessful. And his certificate of deposit and other documents in my department states no next of kin in his file, because he has none, but the company board doesn’t know about this.
As the director of security, i have been tasked by the company board to locate or get in contact with his next of kin to stand in as the beneficiary to retrieve the box from our company safe. No family member or close relatives of the late depositor has been found since the search started, and with the company mouthing pressure on me to present his next of kin to stand in as the beneficiary, that is why am contacting you to stand in as the next of kin to the late depositor. I will introduce you to the company board as the late depositor next of kin and beneficiary to retrieve the gold from our company.
If you are interested please contact me via skype or via the email address provided below. Office email (lion.heart.sec.dep@gmail.com) personal email (David_nkrumah@myself.com) so we could discuss more details.

Thank you.
Best Regards Mr David Nkrumah ***

Is that just amazing luck for me or what?

Afternoon! I took the younger kids out all day so Tom could finish painting the dining room. We had fun. Tom is nearly done - just has to clean drips from the floor. Bill should be home from school with the new car soon!

I didn’t realize how stressful this has all been for me, but since coming home, I have been so tired and sleepy...Maybe Sparkle will cuddle with me tonight.

The bad news is, I spent the last two days indoors (for the most part) and had no trouble with allergies. I now know that Sparkle is an allergy monster, and that I need an industrial supply of Benedryl to be around her.

Still, if she brings down the BP, I’ll live with it. :o]

I’m finally warm again, and looking forward to going to bed. Tomorrow, I will go tape the permit to the windshield, like it’s supposed to be, and pray that the part comes in ASAP. Because of the unexpected expenses involved in all this, I don’t have enough for the registration. But I’m not going to sweat it. With the right kind of luck, I’ll get it registered on May 1, which is my next payday. :o])

I sympathize. I’m getting a little vague and garbled myself, and it would be nice to lie down for some quality time with Jake.

I’m trying to stay up as long as I can, but my body hates me for it. The wind has died to 8 mph, but the temp is only 66, and I’m sure the heated mattress pad is going to be worth its weight in gold tonight!

With luck, Sparkle will let me sleep past 0600, but she is usually insistent on making sure I know she is starving to death! How could I let her go so long without fresh food? (eight hours)

Dang. I forgot to water the pine tree...the tips are yellow...serial plant killer — that’s me.

Kathleen didn’t have a nap today. She can have an early night.

Some days, I just want to sleep.

If you’d be born in 1894, you would be.

"If you’d be born in 1894, you would be." -- (Planted)

Not necessarily. I've been in a number of cemeteries hereabouts and noticed a few ornate headstones where the husband died, and the dates indicated a rich full life for him.

Then you look at the birth date for the wife. You'll usually see that she may have been a few years younger than the husband, but what struck me is that the date of death was not engraved.

Naturally, I conclude that she is still getting about, enjoying life and doing things she couldn't do before.

He was just holding her back.
