I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

W000t!

I have the paper work for the refund, but I have to have the doctor’s signature, and that will take some time, as I have to get another appointment.

There are 10 pages of paperwork that have to be filled out, but I have to see my primary care doctor first, and the soonest appointment I can get is May 20th. So far, I have been unsuccessful at getting in on a cancellation. So I guess it’s a waiting game, but at least I’m on record as getting it started.

Hopefully, I can get it taken care of with my follow-up to the epidural that is scheduled for the 13th.

Okay. I was just thinking maybe it would go quicker ;-).

Tom’s stuck at QT with my phone and AAA card; I’m taking Bill to work, then I’ll go back for Tom.

UNNNGH.

I was hoping it would go quicker, too, but until I have my surgery consult, I won’t have any definite dates. However, I can submit it to the doctor for his part of it.

I guess the bottom line is that they want to reduce to possibility of fraud. Therefore, they want as much detailed information as possible.

I’m going to do as little driving as possible from now util Tuesday. *groan* I hate this. It stresses me no end.

Moving along on the car. DP was there when I left, and the tow truck on the way to take it to the mechanic. The emergency services tech couldn’t get it to start. It’s possible it can be fixed quickly enough to get it to Bill on our way to church, but if not, we can pick Bill up on the way home.

Now we’re back to the guinea-pig crisis.

There are still three days until Tuesday, and I have no clue how I’m going to endure this. I’m glad things are moving along on your end of the vehicle dilemma. It gives me hope.

:o|

Nice tagline.

The car has been taken to the mechanic. DP thinks it’s a major disaster, but since he doesn’t know a thing about cars, I’m ignoring it for now.

The dog door was locked at the home of the guinea pig owners, so we couldn’t send a skinny brother through. Nothing to do but hope they respond to my phone messages or texts.

Oh, dang...I hope the pet owners respond. That’s kinda scary for them.

I’m glad I know a little about cars, but when push comes to shove, I’m still a female trying to keep from being scammed in a man’s world.

One would think I was old enough to know what I need to know.

I can go to the town offices on Monday and see if they’ll declare an emergency, but without being able to contact the homeowner, I can’t see their doing anything.

And that, sadly, is probably what it will come to.

I have given two people keys to my apartment, besides management. It’s my insurance for keeping Sparkle safe if I can’t be here. Before I got her, it wasn’t all that important. Now, it is.

The last time we fed guinea pigs for someone who was on vacation, one of them gave birth to four little guinea piglets. We hadn't even been warned that the fat pig was preggers.

The little ones are cute. I can see why they eat them in Chile.

Good luck with the dog door and I hope you and the brood are well.

As I read further ahead after posting, I see that my “[g]ood luck with the dog door” was a waste of well wishes. Thank goodness there isn’t any federal regulation limiting the number of well wishes. Yet.

Yes, we are all well, although rather anxious about the guinea pigs. I don’t know where the owners have gone that they can’t get text messages ... maybe Ukraine.

Maybe the neighbors made it a “tech-free” weekend.

Poor Guinea pigs.

He caught his tail. It’s an accomplishment!

Jake was hunting rabbits last night: we kept hearing the squeals. Pat didn’t find any corpses in the yard, but he’s not the most observant youth.

Now I’m going to shower so I can warm up. It’s 47 degrees and windy. I wanted to stay in bed, but Busdaddy woke me up. He thinks if he’s awake, I should be awake, too. :o[

He said his dad was the same way.

I guess it’s okay to be inconsiderate if you can claim it’s an inherited trait.

60s, cloudy, north wind here. It’s supposed to be the same all day.

Maybe Pat didn’t want to find the mangled corpses of Easter bunny babies. I wouldn’t look very hard, either.

Jake probably sees them as funny-looking kitten competition; like most tom cats who kill the young males in litters.
