I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

“That ought to tie the greenies up in knots for at least a fortnight.”

That was why they spent the 70s and 80s Saving the whale...
To reduce dependency on petroleum products in the future.
They didn't know this at the time, but it sure was an amazing act of Forward progressive thinking.

The Oil from the Sperm Whale is the oil of choice. :)

SAVE the whale?

SAVE the whale???

No wonder I could never find a big enough razor to join the movement.

Before I realized Sir Elton’s preferences I thought he was singing “Someone shaved my wife tonight.”

Although I never really liked the song.

Yes, no-to-illegals! Where have you been? I was just thinking of
you last night, and said a prayer that you and yours are all okay.

Wait a minute..

Was he lost?

Only thing I heard was some minor internetz issues earlier in the day that forced a reverting to ‘ace troubleshooter’ mode ‘till the issue was flogged into submission.

He has to use the same technique that Ralph S. Mouse uses when riding his motorcycle; he has to provide the sound effects of the motor running.

It won’t work without ‘em.

.

Of course, once he does that, he’ll have no problem. His tractor will be purring like a kitten.

I don’t think that kitten is old enough to drive.

The BB SUV didn’t pass the smog test again this year. I can’t get it looked at until Tuesday, and I have no idea how much it will cost, when all is said and done.

To say I’m depressed is a total understatement. This has not been a good day from the start. For the last month, the garbage trucks haven’t shown up here until after noon, but this morning, they were doing their jobs at Oh-Dark-Thirty.

Then I had trouble with my bank account and my car insurance account, and then the smog test. I want my mommie.

Oh, dear. And you need the smog test before you can renew the license, right?

What was the issue last year?

Yes. The bad part of that is that I’m assessed late fees for each day beyond the due date (today) that I go. I should have smogged it two weeks ago, but my brain was at fault.

Last year, the folks who did the work on the distributor didn’t attach one of the leads to the spark plug properly, and raw gas was escaping into the engine compartment. I had to get a whole new distributor cap and wiring, to the tune of $278.

The mechanic said today that it could be a vacuum leak because carbon is escaping, but they have to run the diagnostic on it before they will know. That alone is $65. I have enough for the registration, but I don’t know how much they will assess me in late fees, so I could be paying $90+ for the registration, after the repairs.

*sigh*

Elen’s supposed to be feeding guinea pigs for someone from the swim team, but we can’t get in the house. A code on a keypad is supposed to open the garage, but it doesn’t. They don’t respond to phone or text messages. We’re planning to try the dog door.

Tom just went to get gas for the mower and called from the QT saying the car doesn’t start. Bill said, try it more times. If he doesn’t show up in 7 minutes, I’ll have to call AAA, go get him, and then drive Bill to work.

At least Kathleen is in bed.
