I just re-joined FR and I would like to post to my local NC state board but I am not able to. How do I get the ability to do that?

Oh thank you, kitteh gif looks like my beloved Holly.
She did the same thing when she drank water. Put her paw in the water. Craziest thing I ever saw. Made everyone who saw it laugh.
I miss her so damn much. Should I still be crying every day? It’s been 15 months.

After looking at kitteh’s teeth I’m wondering,
Do cats have canine teeth?

"Thats a good way of putting it." It occurs to me that every adjectival descriptor of liquids can be applied to minds.
Therefore, minds are liquid. The good news then, is that eventually your mind can be decanted into another vessel.
That doesn't mean that you will be happy in that condition though, so contain yourself.

Yes, they do.....but don't tell the cat s/he has *canine* teeth.

You're not a genuine cat lover....unless you have had to forgive your kitteh for jumping on the bathroom sink and using the family toothbrushes for fun

Special note: "mud-luscious" -- Even made-up words need to be spelled correctly in my universe.
" Should I still be crying every day?"
No. A good cry can be healthy for you. It cleans out the sinus passages.
But after a few days you have to get back to your post and start rowing again. We'll never reach out destination if we don't all pull together.
Why Have I Been Weeping?
I see the faces in the park, and each one tells a story,
Some bitter from the striving, some faded with their glory.
Some look out on the park and see the life inside them,
And some have hurts upon their face with nowhere else to hide them.
A comely matron passes by, her pride protects her pain,
She doesnt seem to notice that her smile is showing strain.
A pair of schoolgirls next are seen, and giggle as they pass,
I hope their laughter will grow up when laddy meets his lass.
An old man sits near dozing with the sun upon his face,
I know that in his mind he is no longer near this place.
Instead he walks with hand about the love that he once held,
And now he sits with frozen smile where happiness has gelled.
A woman looks into my eyes, a question seems to rise,
Although her lips say nothing it is clearly in her eyes.
"Oh, stranger, do you know the pain Im feeling in my heart?
Can you tell why Ive been weeping? Do you know what made me start?"
I only know the answer to a question still unasked,
For it is the answer always for the way we have been tasked.
The answer is to love someone, though someone brought you pain,
Even though youre hurting now, you still must love again.
For love is still the answer to the way to get through life,
And it doesnt matter if you fail, or if you live in strife.
You must share your pain and loneliness, and laugh it all away,
And youll find that pain is ebbing as loves tide flows in today.
Step out of the shadow of the pain that brought you grief,
And hold a child, and see her smile, and you will feel relief.
No matter how youre hurting, and no matter what youve lost,
Theres even more to be received, with negligible cost.
Your life has many turnings, at the end you may look back,
And though you know you lost something, theres nothing that you lack.
The life that seemed so shattered has been made into a whole,
And your audience applauds you for your stunning, starring role.

"What a beautiful poem" Heh. I see the flaws. But I'm prudent enough not to point them out.
When you paint a room, or other work project, and you're showing it off to a friend, resist the urge to point out where you went wrong. Chances are they'll never notice otherwise.
The Wordwright
"A natural at rhyming," they said with quiet awe,
As if the effort of the work was just a lucky draw.
The poet grimly sets to task and nails the fabric down.
He stretches it to smooth it; portrays a bit of frown.
The subject matter fights him. He struggles on despite,
And witnesses remark there seems no effort in this wright.
While storms torment his vision, and tempests on him pour,
He delicately sets a bit of shell upon the shore.
The setting must be balanced. He knows it must be so,
But others only notice as the vistas slowly grow.
His struggle is exhausting, and soon to bed must he,
But not before he finishes his latest travesty.
So tempted to destroy it, his stare a rueful stance,
He shrugs and turns away from it without a backward glance.
"Another masterpiece," they cry, and celebrate each rhyme,
And tearfully, he vows that he will do it right next time.

Allow me to relate a personal observation, Bob.
Over the years, I have made hundreds of knitted, crocheted and sewn items, and in each one, there has been at least one mistake, deliberate at times, not so at other times. I chose to allow them to remain in the article, rather than correct them in honor of my Native American heritage.
In almost every tribe, the belief is that if a thing is perfect, the evil spirits will like it and inhabit it, thus bringing bad luck and injury to the owner. By putting in a flaw, the evil spirits will stay away, and the owner can keep it with the knowledge that it is “safe.”
And so, when you write, and you know there is a mistake of some kind that others may not notice, it’s OK to leave it in...Avoid perfection and be secure in the knowledge that your efforts will be appreciated.
Just sayin’.

"I got the quote in an email from Orvis. They were trying to sell dog beds.

.
It's most evocative. "marbles and piracies"
I like it too.

I attribute ownership and authorship of all of my flaws to no one but myself. I am a self-made collage of erroneous intentions and failed executions.
