CLEVELAND -- Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel entered treatment on Wednesday, adviser Brad Beckworth told ESPN.com through a Manziel spokesman.
Johnny Manziel has entered treatment to work on "areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate," according to a spokesperson. "Johnny knows there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate and he thought the offseason was the right time to take this step," Beckworth said.

"He needs ego-reduction surgery, along with a humility implant."
I thought the Cincinnati defense gave that to him this year. In spades!!!

There aren’t enough shrinks in all of Cleveland to cure him.

I wish him well in the CFL

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

There is a saying in the rehab business. "While it is true that 'you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink,' it is also true that you can make him thirsty."
Hopefully Manziel will take advantage of the opportunity.

He needs ego-reduction surgery, along with a humility implant. That is pretty much what rehab and recovery is all about.

Good morning.
He will be out of the NFL in 2 years or less.
Methinks you are correct. This "treatment" probably won't do him any good. Manziel needs 8 weeks of BCT to straighten him out, and give him some discipline.
Imho of course.

I can only guess as to Manziels motivations, but I find it commendable when such a young person seeks help through rehab. I’ve know too many old drunks and users.

Good for him. Whether he succeeds or fails as an NFL QB, this step will hopefully show a new-found commitment to giving it his best shot. I wish him well.
This is the first positive Johnny story in recent memory.

And Bayless was right this entire time.
There's a statement you don't see very often.

With proper parental guidance he may improve his life as a citizen and a Cleveland Brownie.

When I read about his family's involvement in his career, I am reminded of the interesting story behind Kerry Collins' NFL career. He was a highly touted QB out of Penn State but had some issues early in his career with the Panthers. They eventually waived him.
His career got a fresh start with the Giants in 1999. One of the things he said was that he was finally enjoying football. He realized that up to that point he had only played football because that's what his father wanted him to do.
