Yes someone did tell Wilson to throw it because Lynch ran a wheel route on that play. It was pass play ALL the way. No way to run it when ypur RB is running a route play. They had just came out of a timeout. It was a called play from the sideline! Period

Well the Patriots won, are they going to have to have all their balls inspected? Footballs I mean.

That had to be about the best ending to a game I’ve ever seen. That catch by the Sea Hawks player would have went down in history as one of the greatest, if not THE greatest catch ever if they had won that game.

That interception had to be a heartbreaker for Seattle fans. I do wonder why they didn’t try to run it in. They were very close, had timeouts, with a great running back. Maybe they thought NE would be expecting that? Who knows...

It’s only fitting for the NFL this season that the whole thing had to end with a dammed fight. They should fine the hell out of each and every player involved with that....

I turn off the half time crap — my wife watched it AFN I could hear that Perry woman screeching her single note across the house. “Music” doesn’t describe it. More like tomcats fighting over the lone female in heat at 2 in the morning.

the fights afterward were disgraceful for professional athletes

I agree. NFL thugdom comes to the surface. The thug image will hurt football, as fan will not longer be able to relate. (Well, but then again there are the Raider fans. Hmmmm...)

Both teams made crucial mistakes at crucial times.

What REALLY sealed this game was that final drive by the Patriots where they just marched down the field, cutting up the Seattle defense with the short passes with some running mixed in. Seattle just couldn’t stop them.

That ate up the clock, and set the table for what we saw at the end.

Was an amazing Superbowl. Even the National Anthem and Halftime shows were good.

The fight at the end just screwed it all up though. No point in that.

Storage Lockers here. I keep hoping Barry will open a trunk and a Biter sits up.
I missed the Greatest Show On Earth, at least until Groundhog day, as well.

Will someone shoot Darrel Bevel before I do? I don’t want to go to prison. /s Seriously, what a bonehead call with timeouts in hand.

Whoever called that play should be asking: “Paper or plastic?” tomorrow. I thought it was over after the Kearse catch, but Butler stepped up BIG. Immensely entertaining game!

"I think Pete just couldn’t do it the ‘normal’ way; had to be special."

I understand that comment, but it was probably Bevel's call.
