No. McD’s failing to adjust to the new world is killing McD. The improvement of the American pallet that’s been going on since the early 90s has finally filtered down to fast food. McD used to be near the best (best easy to find national chain) of a market that was accepted to be bad. Everybody knew fast food was bad, but McD’s wasn’t THAT bad and so we were OK with that. But things have changed, there’s new fast food on the market, and the rise of “fast casual”, which is almost as fast as fast food but dramatically better in both food and ambiance. McD quite simply cannot compete in a world of 5 Guys, Sauce, Chipotle, and Panda Express. It also doesn’t help that the rise of McD is well documented and didn’t rely on a one time situation, so anybody wanting to build a McD style fast food empire can find out exactly how to do it just buying one of dozens of books.

The only two Panda Express, I have eaten at, were horrible.

LOL that's a good way to sum it up. Anyone remember Hardee's?
