I’m not being insensitive to this poor child or his father. However, “herd immunity” sounds all nice but is it really possible? This child’s immune system is weakened by the chemotherapy and cannot get immunizations for some time. I’m not saying he should be in a bubble. However, wouldn’t it be a better and a more logical practice to have this child home schooled (or taught at home by a teacher provided by the county for sick/injured children who cannot attend school)? Even with every child immunized in the school, it sounds like a flu could kill this child at this point.

I agree with you.

We have illegal kids flooding over the border on a constant basis. This is a child at risk no matter how completely Americans are treated with vaccines.

Disease is why we used to make immigrants come into the country after they had health checks for public health reasons. We don’t have a public heath mentality anymore with open borders. The race card trumps the survival card.
