I am in Thailand and there are thousands of small shops selling phones ... and only a few are top name brands. They sell because it is what South East Asians can afford. I have an iMobile - iStyle Android ... cost just over a 100 bucks ... that is a lot of money for an Asian. 65 million people in Thailand and more than half have a mobile phone as they call them... Only a small percentage have Samsung or Apple. You can bet a lot of those "top name brands" aren't the top name brands either. Xiaomi makes a line of iPhone look alikes that even have Android skins that look like iOS. . . and come in boxes that look like iphone boxes, and they aren't the only ones.

I am not ‘rooting’ for these small no name phone makers or their resellers... Just reporting what I observe...
