I wouldn’t have even answered the phone. lol
Who answers their land lines anymore, unless it’s from a number they know? We sure as hell don’t. Anyone that I want to actually speak to calls on my cell phone. (most of the time I don’t answer that either lol)
The land line ringing in our house is like a background noise. When it rings, I don’t believe anyone really notices. We wouldn’t have it if not for Internet.
I told my husband that even though we never talk on our land line, we have to keep it so I can use it to call my cell when it’s lost around the house.
