Prankster and YouTuber Jason Ward used his impressive and entertaining character impersonation skills during a visit to a Starbucks drive-thru. Channeling the voice of Billy Bob Thornton as Karl Childers, main character of the movie "Sling Blade,"

LOL the wife is cracking up.
Dwight Yoakam was in that movie too.
The video volume is on full and there are no controls.
Spot-on impersonation.
Definitely in the Top 5 f-—ed up movies of all time!
I do it at the post office.
You got any of them sticky postage stamps in there?
Great impersonation.
I wonder a thousand years from now if the words ...grande skinny vanilla latte...will have any meaning when translated.
What’s great is that he not only does the voice perfect, he has the mannerisms and even the set of the jaw. I need to watch that movie again. My son told me to watch it. Are there two versions? I seem to remember that there are two versions.
I did not know Dwight Yoakam could act but he did a good job.
You do know that it was Billy Bob Thorton in the main role, right?
Yes I did. I also knew Dwight Yoakam as a country singer, not an actor. But he played a perfect red neck a$$hole.
Sling Blade is definitely one of the more memorable films I've seen, although I can't say I was at all amused by the drive-thru impersonation. Must make a point to see the film again.
Guitars,Cadillacs. One of Dwight Yoakam’s better songs. I read a good piece of trivia once. Robert Duvall was in Sling Blade as a favor to Billy Bob. Apparently Duvall saw the talent Billy Bob has and Duvall likes independent movies. Years later when Billy Bob was a famous actor he paid Duvall back by appearing in Duvall’s independent movie “The Apostle.” The Apostle is an outstanding movie.
btw, I also loved Billy Bob Thorton in Bandits, with Cate Blanchett and directed by Barry Levinson (whose films I also love).
Several years after Sling Blade, Thorton and Jon Heder worked with each other in a movie. It is said that during their breaks, Thorton would drop into his Sling Blade character and Heder would do Napoleon Dynamite.
Can you imagine how funny that was?
“My son told me to watch it. Are there two versions? I seem to remember that there are two versions.”
The movie (long) is based on a short Thornton did which is just the interview scene. Title was “Some Folks Call It a Sling Blade” and Netflix has/had it.
Try to find the DVD version with the “making of” on it. It is amazing to see Thornton behind the camera as director announce ISTR “Childers now” (or similar words) and switch into character — the change is almost creepy.
Karl Childers is my all-time favorite movie retard — followed closely by Chance the gardener (”stuffed with rice pudding between th’ ears”), Rainman and a distant last Forrest Gump. (Peet dons asbestos flame-proof suit.)
