Looks like a lot of Gander Mountain stores in your area—I’d use them for powder, bullets and other components. Website says they have a 10% off promotion going right now.

Selling firearms on Craig’s List is a no-no, but you can sometimes find reloading equipment that’s in good shape and at a reasonable price. It’s usually hard to wreck a single stage press so there might be some savings there.

Invest in a good “recipe” book of loading and always stay within the recommended specs. Safety, paying attention and quality control are paramount.

Research prices online to get an idea on costs so you don’t get hosed, and always buy supplies in bulk whenever possible, it drives the price down.

Look locally first for bullets. Shipping charges are high because of the weight.

Ditto primers. In this case the hazmat fees are killer.

While the 308 primers and Alliant/Hodgdon powder were impossible to buy online, for awhile, I could drive to Fin, Feather, and Fur, and buy it off the shelf. I was shocked!

I’ve always found gun shows are best for many reloading supplies and equipment. It is hit and miss, so I buy as the shows have what I need.

I found several wholesalers operating at gun shows and had the ability to also do private sales. Ask the vendors if they do private sales, most do. Perfectly legal with all licensing in place.

www.Midway.usa for bullets.
http://www.wholesalehunter.com/ for bullets.
https://www.wideners.com/ for bullet’s.

Cabela’s has been good for reloading equipment lately.

http://www.coloradooncefiredbrass.com/ for brass.

Always had good luck with Midway ,had a few bullets for my reload be on back order a couple of times ,other than that the only thing I complain about is the shipping charges.

Oh, maybe it is just me not jumping on sales items immediately upon receipt of their sale notice. I think about it several days to decide and then bam, too late. I will not pay full boat retail for anything nor will I dicker on prices like some people feel the need to play stupid games. My time is more valuable to me.

I used to do that. My dad got a huge load of lead from Pacific Telephone many years ago. I still have many pounds of it.
