BRIDGETON, N.J. Another police killing is stirring anger in another town, this time in New Jersey, where a tense traffic stop captured on video ended with a passenger shot to death as he stepped out of a car with his hands raised at shoulder height.
The newly released footage from a police dashboard camera shows Bridgeton officers Braheme Days and Roger Worley in a Dec. 30 stop that escalates quickly after Days warns his partner about seeing a gun in the glove compartment of the Jaguar...
[SNIP]
Reid, 36, had spent about 13 years in prison for shooting at New Jersey State Police troopers when he was a teenager. He was also arrested last year on charges including drug possession and obstruction; Days was one of the arresting officers then.

At 1:46 the suspect's head pops out of the car with his hands nowhere in sight. He then starts raising his arms perpendicular to his body, as if he is putting them in a shooting position and from there his hands sort of barely angle up as he is being shot. All of that within a time interval of about one second.
I have no idea what the officer saw from his perspective.
I can only tell ya what I saw in the video from my perspective.
Clearly both officers fired and the suspect is dead.
BTW, the drivers side officer fired what appears to be into the back of the suspect. Based on the audio, the passenger side officers fires first, then driver side opened up.
I would bet the only reason driver side officer fired was because he heard gunfire from the passenger side officer.
A chain shoot, so to speak.
Don’t get angry with me but I’m pretty sure you’re a douchebag.
My guess is that he was planning on bullrushing the cop and then running. He knew once they saw the gun that he would be going back to prison.

How dare you bring common sense to an ignorance festival?
Ya shouldn't let facts bother you so much and above all ya shouldn't assume what others might be thinking. Try sticking to the story instead of attacking others. You'll be better off.
Cheers.
You need to go into to court and tell them all what the suspect was thinking and planning, bramps. Set everyone straight.
Report back.
ROTFLMAO!
Watch the video.
Well after being told what happened, you still asked me if I watched the video. When it was you who clearly did not watch it closely.
Do you work at a dial an argument call center?
You seen to only want to argue and attack. You've become a distraction. Go bother someone else...
BTW, you might want to relax ... You seem really excited about this. Have a beer maybe.
There is no discussing with you...Youre quite annoying in fact.....Ya wanna be the distracting thread clown? Be my guest.
Follow your own advice. lol
You seem angry.
Ya, it's in the article. BTW, this guy was in the joint for over a decade so he knew what he was supposed to do, but he pushed it. They passenger side officer who apparently is black, had prior personal contact with him. However the drivers side officer appeared white and fired 1-2 rounds. Yes I know, none of that should matter and don't IMO. But some groups will obviously use it to their means.
It should have been inordinately obvious to him by the tone, and yes panic/fear in the passenger side officers voice, that this might not end well.
How's Vegas?
“Lurching, springing, lunging, launching...lol
I only saw the suspect quickly exit the vehicle with what appeared to be his empty hands up, raised about to shoulder height. Was there something there that none of us saw? I have no idea.
The attorneys will come up with all kinds of novel descriptions before this is over.”

“Your honor, the felon EXPLODED out of the passenger door!”
There ya go...He exploded out the door in an eruption of anger...
BTW the driver will likely say they were merely on their way to pick up some baby food for the orphanage.
Way to misrepresent what happened.
Guy was known to the cop, having served time for shooting at a cop at a traffic stop already.
There was at least one illegal gun known present and in reach.
He was told 9 times to not move.
He was told 5 times to show his hands.
He was told 3 times he would be shot and killed if he did not comply.
He was well warned clearly.
Nonetheless he made a furtive movement toward the officer at contact range.
Yeah he got shot. Duh.
