It’s official: Mayor de Blasio is going to be spending part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day with the Rev. Al Sharpton.

Hizzoner last week refused to say whether he would be attending the annual King tribute at Sharpton’s National Action Network Harlem headquarters.

But the mayor’s office on Saturday confirmed he’ll be there.

PreviousNextDemocratic candidate for Public Advocate Bill de Blasio (L) and Democratic candidate for Comptroller John Liu (R) join Reverend Al Sharpton (C) on his live morning radio show at the National Action Network House of Justice Headquarters located at 106 West 145th Street in Harlem on Saturday on Saturday 09-19-09.

The news didn’t go over well with de Blasio’s cop critics.

“His friendship with Al Sharpton undermines his credibility (with cops),” said Sergeants Benevolent Association head Ed Mullins. “My mother always said, ‘Show me your friends. I’ll tell you who you are.’ ”

We had the same thing here (after Boston) in NJ; towns around Englewood NJ were prohibited by law from accepting Englewood students and accepting tuition to do so. White parents in Englewood used private schools until the injunction was lifted.

Frederick Douglas criticized the North for their duplicity in dealing with blacks; it is nothing new.

No doubt; Yankees wanted slaves freed until they realized they’d have the right to travel to northern states.

Sorry a## white man wanting to be black so bad...

This guy's head is not screwed on straight, that's for sure. Now we have children claiming to have "gender identify" issues. Is there such a thing as having an "ethnic identity" issue, for an obviously white man? He's done everything to be black that one can possibly do. Is there something wrong with being white?
