It’s official: Mayor de Blasio is going to be spending part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day with the Rev. Al Sharpton.
Hizzoner last week refused to say whether he would be attending the annual King tribute at Sharpton’s National Action Network Harlem headquarters.
But the mayor’s office on Saturday confirmed he’ll be there.

“His friendship with Al Sharpton undermines his credibility (with cops),” said Sergeants Benevolent Association head Ed Mullins. “My mother always said, ‘Show me your friends. I’ll tell you who you are.’ ”
Well I thought he would be marching with The Oprah in Selma.
I’m not sure whom to feel more sorry for.

I’m glad this is done so openly; it removes any illusions liberal whites my cling to regarding race relations. The segregation here in the north would make a Klansman proud, and we no longer send liberals to the south to lecture them about race.
