It cannot be said too often -- as glaciers withdraw in Greenland, we find remains of Viking settlements that had been covered by ice. We know that grapes were once grown in England for wine-making. The world was CLEARLY warmer 1000 years ago -- and, again, a thousand years before that -- the Roman Empire peaked during a warm period 2000 years ago.

The idea that 2014 was the warmest year ever is a pathetic joke. And if one says "We mean: since 1880" then it's just terrible science because the size of the sample data is embarrassingly small. Real scientists don't operate this way. But charlatans do,
