TULSA, Okla. An off-duty Oklahoma City police officer was involved in a fatal shooting Friday night.
The officer, 33, who hasn't been identified, saw the man push the woman to the ground.
The officer got out of his vehicle and confronted the man. He said he saw a gun in the man's waistband. When the man began walking toward the officer, the officer said the man reached for the gun. That's when the officer drew his gun and opened fire.
The male, 23, who was not identified, was shot several time and taken to St. Francis Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m.
There were a lot fewer of them back then! There are millions of bureaucrats now.
Why do these guys fight women and in public?
Though this was a Garth Brooks concert, and not one for Mylie Cyrus’ father, whatsisname, I can’t resist the quip that he must have been shot in his “Ackey-Breaky Heart”.
Bigger question is why do the girls stay with them.
No joke.
So you assume there is a "rest of the story".
That's very objective of you.
The media desperately wants to see a shooting at a majority white venue. There are shootings all the time at rap concerts. Never Barry Manilow or Garth Brooks concerts.
Friend speaks about man shot by off-duty Veterans Affairs officer
Snip
But Jason Chandler, who worked in the same building as Rodney Walker, said he couldn't picture his friend either pointing a weapon at the officer or intending to harm the woman. Rodney Walker wore oversized pants and would constantly pull them up while the pair worked their respective service jobs in the Williams building downtown, which may have been misconstrued as reaching for his weapon, Chandler said.
D'oh ! Done in by the droopy drawers?
Plus a pic of the deceased.
