TULSA, Okla. —An off-duty Oklahoma City police officer was involved in a fatal shooting Friday night.
The officer, 33, who hasn't been identified, saw the man push the woman to the ground.
The officer got out of his vehicle and confronted the man. He said he saw a gun in the man's waistband. When the man began walking toward the officer, the officer said the man reached for the gun. That's when the officer drew his gun and opened fire.
The male, 23, who was not identified, was shot several time and taken to St. Francis Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m.
Be interesting to hear the rest of the story.... if it comes out.

Just come up with photo’s (the cop’s cell phone?) of the gun in perp’s possession ... it is at least SOME qualifying evidence when it goes to trial

We’ve learned the off-duty officer questioned by police is from the Oklahoma City area
and is a security officer for the Veterans Affairs department.......
Witness, Joy Smith was across the street and said she saw a fight break out across the
street and someone pull a gun.
“It was a loud pop, pop, pop, pop,” Smith said. “I just truly went into shock.
I thought about hitting the ground and, yeah, I just stood there.”
Tulsa Police Sergeant Dave Walker said the officer got out of his car when he saw a
man on top of a woman, punching her.
“He identifies himself, he gets them to separate and that’s when the confrontation
occurs,” Walker said.
He said the attacker and the officer both had their guns out when the officer
opened fire, hitting the man several times.
A lot of that does seem to go on here ... and there are plenty of people who have guns here, too. I don’t know what’s going on.

Not sure the concert had anything to do with the story other than the officer was in
his car going to the concert when he saw the altercation on the sidewalk. He got out of
his car and that’s when the shooting occurred.

“Independent witnesses state that the male was abusing the female and had thrown her
to the ground,” Walker said in the release.
The man was on top of the woman on the sidewalk, and the officer got out of his
car to intervene verbally, the officer told Tulsa police.
“He identifies himself and separates the two, and that’s when the confrontation
occurs (between the officer and the man),” Walker said at the scene.
Hey, as long as the shootee is not black the shooter is probably OK. But.............................
One shooting? How many people shot THEMSELVES for being at a Garth Brooks concert?
Parts of Tulsa and OKC have always been rough towns. I never go unarmed when I visit family there, and I used to live there years ago.

Lots of shootings in little Springfield, MO too since I left 4 years ago. Natives and immigrants getting restless I think. No regard for the law because their elected head of the administration has proven you can get away with anything by just using a pen and since they can neither read nor write, they use a gun.
It still amazes me that the founding fathers forced us to have a revolution to get a fascist king out of the White House. Throwing off said government was simpler back then, eh?
Thank God that we every word we speak (and write) will be judged by the Truth. I guess I better go over my posts and see if I have to make any confessions.
