Hmmm, I wonder which sign the Newtown school had posted.

Lets see, sue the school, school board, gun manufacturers, gun dealers, the landscapers and teachers.

Have I missed anybody?

I really feel bad for these people but WTF could the school have done to prevent this.

A negligence suit like this would essentially be claiming that the County has a duty to keep multiple armed guards patroling every single public school during all hours there are ever students or faculty present. I’m glad I don’t pay taxes in Newton.

But, but, it was a “gun free” zone.

Should not the politicians be sued?

“The parents also question the lack of security in the parking lot and claim the school was negligent for not having bulletproof glass in front windows and doors.”

So, I guess all the parents’ homes have bullet proof windows and doors, right? Since it is “negligent” to not have these, I believe every plaintiff who does not have such bulletproofing should be arrest for child neglect and endangering the welfare of a child.

Trying to profit off the tragic deaths of their children is ghoulish and reprehensible.

They're suing their neighbors. Yeah, that’ll fix it.

The schools did not do enough to prevent the attack. They banned guns in the hands of honest, non-violent people. They did not have armed police present. They did not have adequate security.

Sue the "All Weapons Are Prohibited" sign maker.
Obviously the sign didn't work.

“Security” can never stop all such attacks.

All it can do is divert the attack to somewhere else.

Does anybody seriously believe that if Lanza hadn’t been able to get into the school he would have just gone home? Where he’d already murdered his Mom?

No, he would have gone to another school or some other public place and opened fire there.

How many schools in the country have bulletproof glass? What about if he’d rammed his vehicle into the doors at 20 mph? Are school doors anywhere built to resist that?

This attack could, and would, have been stopped if the cops had known it was coming. But a surprise attack is very, very difficult to defend against.

The parents and lawyers involved in this lawsuit disgust me. What kind of person (other than Trayvon’s parents) says, “my child is dead, I wonder if I can make a profit from that”?

have filed a lawsuit against the school board and town, alleging inadequate security at the building where the gunman killed their children.

Would adequate security include armed guards on campus?

EZ fix: Give teachers special training in CCs and topics specific to school shootings and let them carry on site.

End of school shootings and it eliminates the possibility of an American Beslan.

Families sue Newtown school board

A school board doesn't have an income. The taxpayers fund it. But the families are taxpayers. So basically you are suing yourself. If you win your taxes will be outrageous.

Murders? What murders? Just refer them to the 2012 FBI crime statics. Zero violent crime deaths in Newtown.
FBI are some crazy debunking truther deniers.

Interesting that the actual names of the people filing suit are never mentioned in the article. They are just referred to as “the parents of (child’s name).”
