If Marinelli leaves the Cowboys, I suspect Jerry will go hard after Fox for DC.
Fox isn’t going to be a DC.
OTOH, Jim Schwartz would be a nice pick up for DC.
Well it would certainly prove that Jerry has a thing for ex-Lions head coaches.
That’s right!
But I don't hate them not enough... to not make some money off them!
DAL reached an agreement with Jason Garrett on a 5 year deal.
Rod Marinelli also received a 3 year deal.
WOO HOO!
We’ll soon find out if DeMarco Murray or Adrian Peterson will be the Cowboys RB next season.
Go with DeMarco.
Can they keep both DeMarco and Dez?
They HAVE to sign Dez.
They have to sign both, IMHO.
Seahawks 41, Packers 9. Thank you very much.
So far. I’m 75% for the playoffs. Pretty cool. Here’s what I have for Sunday. Hope they’re good games and hope you have fun watching them.
#3 Packers at #2 Seahawks Sun 1/18 1pm MT FOX
Seahawks: On offense, Seattles #7 passing game should be slowed by GBs #8 pass defense. However, Seattles #1 running game should dominate GBs #19 run defense.
Seattles #1 defense, which looks like one of Pattons armored divisions, should be tough against both the #1 GB pass with weakened GB QB Aaron Rodgers, and GBs mediocre #10 running game.
GB GBs #1 offense leans heavily on their #1 passing game which is significantly weakened by QB Aaron Rogers calf injury. GBs #10 running game will have trouble against Seattles #2 run defense putting even more pressure on their weakened passing game.
On defense, GBs #8 pass defense should slow the Seahawks #7 passing game. However, GBs #19 run defense is in trouble against Seattles #1 running game.
Projected winner: Seahawks
#7 Indy Colts at #1 NE Patriots Sun 1/18 4:30pm MT CBS
NE NE looks like a strange duck on offense. They are #4 in the NFL in points scored, which is how games are won, but in the lower half of the NFL in yards per attempt, both run and pass.
On defense, NE is #8 in points against but weak in yardage against the pass at #14.
Colts On offense, the Colts are #6 in the NFL in points scored and #5 in the pass. They should at least move the ball against NEs mediocre pass defense. The Colts weak #22 running game which was almost non-existent in the Divisional Playoffs, should also be stopped this week by NEs #8 run defense.
On defense, the Colts, #19 ranking in points, sre vulnerable to NEs #4 high-scoring offense. However, in terms of run/pass yardage, the Colts defense looks evenly matched against NE.
Could be a close game. Could come down to which QB performs better.
Projected winner: NE but the Colts have a good chance of an upset. May come down to who performs better: NEs Brady and his #4 offense or the Colts Luck and his #5 passing game.
Great analysis!
Thanks. Its all based on stats I roll up at the end of the season. Been doing it for years. Its a lot of fun for me and helps me to know what to look for in the games (other than the Niners, I dont know much about the other teams during the season).
I do it for the MLB and NFL playoffs every year. Good stuff if youre like me and want to know what to look for in a game.
Its on a sheet I send out every year called Newells Fearless Predictions. Let me know if youd like to be on the email list.
Yeah, Ben-- But what about those few... tinfoil-head Seathugs fans?
Oh, they'll be around and if... your Packers do the job--
Won't it be nice listening to... their having nothing to say?
Well, there’s one Colts fan still hanging around. Looking for a monster upset today. Believe in the shoe.
Well, Circle-- When I first started following NFL football back in the mid-1950s the Baltimore Colts were my team. And yeah, even back then... I hated the Deadkins--
They won't show up unless the
Seathugs are winning
