I now see the reason that Obama did not attend the Paris world leader assembly was because Obama had to be back at the White Hut for his meet and greet with the basketball team tomorrow and he did not want to be late to shoot a few hoops with the players.
White House visit for NBA’s Spurs

One of the perks of being the reigning NBA champions is the San Antonio Spurs get to drop into the White House for a ceremony.
Mills, Baynes and their Spurs team-mates will be VIP guests at the White House on Monday, a day before they play the Washington Wizards.
“It’s a wonderful experience for a lot of these guys who maybe haven’t travelled much in their life other than to NBA games,” Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said.
“To be able to go to the White House and see the president and first lady and walk through, it’s very exciting for all of us.” au.news
According to an administration official, President Obama spent part of his Sunday afternoon watching a National Football League game on television. Both games were broadcast hours after the march.
