An accountant at a New York ad firm leaped to his death because he was hallucinating that the mannequins at his Manhattan office were chasing him, it was claimed today. David Caquais, 43, opened at window at Catch NY on the fourth floor of a building in Manhattan's Garment District and jumped out about 9pm on January 2. The New York Post reports that Mr Caquais screamed 'They're after me! They're after me!' as he ran around his office and attempted to kick out windows.

Oh, and I think all current HP laptops are designed and manufactured by the former Compaq.
When I was at Compaq I used to do competitive analysis. HP put zero engineering into their PCs. They were just parts boxes with an HP logo on them. At the time, Compaq made the best laptops so HP re-branded them and sold them after the - er - acquisition.
Now take care of yourself and don’t miss the epidural again! If you have less pain, your blood pressure will go down, especially if you stop running around and stay home with Sparkle instead. A therapy cat doesn’t work if you’re not around!

Yes, Ma’am! I will stop running around! What I need is to visit AZ, and make the 300 miles a leisurely driving trip before the weather gets hot between here and there. Driving for pleasure ALWAYS relaxes me, but driving in traffic and on freeways stresses me out.
Maybe even a trip to St. George will work! Niece, nephew and bro-in-law that I love very much. And BiL will give me a room in Mesquite for free, and maybe even comp me a meal! What an idea! (I would HAVE to take Sparkle!) I could spend a couple of days there, as long as it’s from Sunday on. My BiL is off on Tuesday and Wednesday, so that would work.
And DANG if gas didn’t go up .10 cents a gallon! *sheesh*
I wish Compaq was still in business. Their equipment was some of the very best!
We did alright, and we tested the DAYlights out of it.
We just never got out of the “if we build it they will come” mentality.
And some of our marketing people were absolute morons.
Most of the marketing people were absolute morons. There is no excuse for such a good product to be so ill-used by the people in power. Compaq is the computer that the county used back in the 90’s and the downtime for them was minimal.
I have no clue what they are using now, but I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Compaq. They were SO good!
Gas went up $.11 here, and then it went down $.10, but only at some stations. Everyone was $1.98, and then they went up to $2.09, and now some are down to $1.99. I filled the car this afternoon, and I’ll get gas in the van this weekend.
Gas is back up to $2.23 now, and I used a gallon on my jaunt to Vegas this morning. I hate going over there for anything but laundry, because any extra trip means I’ll be that much shorter when payday comes, which will restrict any driving for necessities, including medical appointments and medicines.
I resent that, for some reason.

When it died I got a Mac Performa. I’ve been an Apple fan since.
About 6 (eleven, actually -- NnB) years ago, we ran out of zeroes.

The best way to figure out an Apple computer, is to go to an Apple store and play with a computer there. If they aren’t too busy they will be happy to go over the entire computer with you.
They are more though. That’s the only bad thing.
What am I missing here?
A Mac costs much more than a PC.
That’s the only drawback I can think of.
