Big Mac for $2. A sign of the times? (vanity)
Jan 9th 2015 | self

Is this a sign of deflation and recession?
I was at the McDonalds and got a breakfast sandwich. With my receipt they give me a slickly put together 4" x 4" paper that says Big Mac and Quarter Pounder for $2 from January 12th to January 28th. Is Mickey Dee's clearing out stale hamburger inventory? Are they trying to drum up business? They always seem to hold the line on their two top selling hamburgers at $3.99. Now they are going for half price. For a limited time only of course

It’s pretty darn cold...not so much the air temp (10F) but the winds have been 20mph all week. Even my golden ret only goes about 10 feet from the back door to whizz, normally he goes 200 ft to check out the back border of the lot where the deer transit thru at night.

Just stay away from McDonalds. It is not good for your health.

The Chicken which should be banned

When you are cooking up your chicken at home, do you reach into your pantry to grab a dash of dimethylpolysiloxane? How about a pinch of tertiary butylhydroquinone?

These are just two of the ingredients in a McDonalds Chicken McNugget. Only 50 percent of a McNugget is actually chicken. The other 50 percent includes corn derivatives, sugars, leavening agents, and completely synthetic ingredients that no home cook would have in her pantry. Dimethylpolysiloxane is an anti-foaming agent made of silicone. Tertiary butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) is a chemical preservative so deadly that just five grams can kill you.

One of my favorites is the 16 year old McDonalds hamburger that will not decompose. Watch the video.

16 Year Old burger

Which one is 16 years old?

I remember, in the early ‘60s, when regular hamburgers were 10 cents and cheese burgers were 15 cents.

LOL

McD meat is very weird.

I once had a dog that gobbled down a dead pigeon whole.

Pigeon had been there for a bit too.

Morgan Spurlock is a Baraqqi partisan.
I’d extremely dubious about anything connected to him.

people try to change their eating habits in January so they lower the price to keep up demand.. It happens a few times a year, including lent.

Morgan Spurlock is a Baraqqi partisan.

The article is written by Mercola. Spurlock is one paragraph. Doesn't change the content of what is in their product.

They’re not getting the millenials’ (sp) business. They know that if they don’t do something they’ll be out of business.

The Big King may actually be better than a Big Mac. I tried the Yumbo - okay but not as impressed.

I would pay four dollars for a big Big Mac like in the 1970s.

Mickey D’s, the story of the incredible shrinking hamburger.

When I was young, they were about twice the size they are now.

Of course, back then I was a third of the size I am now, so I'm guessing it's a bit illusory.

Used to be fried in beef fat, then switched to veg oil.

I am making Original Tommy's burgers this Sunday after church for the family.

With hot peppers and steak fries.

I’ve made my own Sausage McMuffin’s at home. I also fry two eggs over medium, put them on two slices of toasted bread. Then I put a slice of chedder cheese on each, place two slices of bacon on each, then pop them in the oven until the toast melts.

A sausage McMuffin with no sausage? :-)

(Although bacon is a welcome addition to any sandwich).

I’ve never had one of those. But it looks like I may have to go out of my way to find one.

That was not my experience of it in Texas. The prices went up and the buns shrunk.
