The popular CBS show "Person of Interest" starring Jim Caviezel included a lesbian kiss between the two female characters this week. Now, I have lost interest. Any program that insists on including overt homosexuality loses me as a viewer.
This angle is completely unnecessary and egeregious to the general plotline. I guess CBS just can't help themselves, but Jim Caviezel, as the star, certainly can.
I will never watch this show again. I don't want to pollute my mind with perversion.
I liked him in other movies too.
TVLINE | Going back to the kiss: Did Root get a bit inside Shaws head, or was the kiss primarily to hush her, so Shaw could get on with saving the day?
I think there are a few reasons for that kiss.
One, given Shaws exit, I think it was earned by the fans theyve been pushing for it for enough time, it was time to give them what they wanted.
Two, I feel like it as a tactic for Shaw to just get out of the elevator and get done what she needed to do. At that point, she felt she needed to punch [Root] or kiss her, and the easier way to get her off her back was to plant one on her, throw her back into the elevator and shut the door.
The third thing, I think, is theres been a season-and-a-half of some pretty intense flirtation between the two of them, and though Shaw is famous for being guarded with her emotions, I do think that there is some kind of requited love happening whether or not its happening to the extent that Roots is, I dont know.
But does Shaw have feelings for Root? Absolutely.
I realized they were going in that direction after the “two wives” lesbian episode in season 2. I actually hoped that episode would be the end of it and I was shocked at that time that Caveziel didn’t leave then. I completely stopped watching the show in season 3. There was way too much gay and lesbian suggestion in the show. Reese (Caveziel) going as Finch’s plus one to some gala in season 3. The minute they put Root and Shaw together in season 2, and then killed off Carter in season 3, I knew the lesbian angle was coming. So I stopped watching. Now you say they went full lesbian. Well, I’m not surprised at all.
Jim Caveziel (who portrayed Jesus in the Passion of the Christ) has always presented himself as a strong Catholic and he even explained that he did Person of Interest as a way to present a strong male figure on TV. But they have changed and diluted his Reese character over time. I wonder if his contract is the reason he hasn’t left yet. There is no way I could be associated with the show the way it is now. They would just have to sue me.
Well, it is unrequited, that is all I can say. Shaw is NOT GAY.
“There was way too much gay and lesbian suggestion in the show.”
It’s going to be this way for pretty much every show, going forward I think. First, we had the occasion unstated, but obviously gay characters on tv shows in the 70s and 80s. In the 90s and 00s, a few openly gay characters on shows, but still only occasionally. Now, they figure the time is ripe to require every show to have some gay characters and story angles.
It’s already true for most of the big primetime sitcoms, now they are getting around to the other shows, like dramas, thrillers, etc.
I admire your dedication to your principles and I will follow your example.
CBS just had to do it, destroyed another show with homosexual perversion.
Very sad. I only watch two network shows and this was my favorite.
Agree. This WAS one of 4 - 5 shows I watch.
That’s one less on the list.
It was my favorite too until the gay angle became so obvious. I can’t watch US TV any more because of all the garbage. Foreign TV is a bit better.
This just makes no sense. They knew who Jim Caveziel was when they hired him to play Reese. They knew who was in his fan base. It’s almost as if they did this purposely to try to corrupt the very people who would support him.
The part that bothers me the most is that he just let them do this without warning his fans what was coming. It is very sad, but I’m glad I wasn’t watching. I probably would have gotten sick.
The second Reese said he had to save “her wife,” I stopped the show and deleted it. Haven’t seen any of it since then.
It is Hollyweird, I don’t understand why people don’t think this would happen. It happens on Nickelodean for crying out loud.
I watch a lot of foreign stuff on DramaFever
My wife and I like to watch ‘Gotham’ It’s a good show with excellent acting and great characters, but, yep, they had to introduce a lesbian affair between Gordon’s girlfriend (bi-sexual) and the female police chief (black and gay). It has no subplot significance, just perpetuation of the agenda.
DramaFever is good. Viki dot com is my favorite site for foreign shows.
I’ve met Jim Caveziel. He gave a talk at a local Protestant church about how he came to be an actor, got the part in Gibson’s film and what it was like on the set. He also talked about his faith and how he and his wife crusade against abortion. He spoke of how wished he could protect his wife and children against billboards that were sexually explicit.
After he signed my DVD set of the reading of the Bible (from which he said, after participating, a few non-Christian actors converted), we spoke about books that he found inspirational about Christ and put the titles on my DVD cover.
I don’t know what is going on with the series. But he impressed me as a man who took decisions about his life inspired by Christ very, very seriously.
It’s one of the prime reasons I don’t even bother watching ANY new shows. Even if they seemingly start out okay, they will all invariably start sneaking in degenerate agendas, whether it’s pushing their leftism or pushing their own unholy perversions.
But I do like watching tv-shows, so I just stick to the more vintage variety, from back before American culture became a putrid sewer completely dominated by anus-worshipping faggots. Just tonight I watched three old episodes of “The Man Called X,” starring Barry Sullivan as the unnamed American spy hero battling communists around the world. Each episode ends with Sullivan directly talking to the audience, using a different famous quote invariably incorporating God and liberty into the mix. Perhaps just a b-grade suspense show, but what a welcome tonic to lift my spirits, and make me forget the current wretched state of the country.
How did he go to the dark side? Did he join in the lesbian kiss? You guys are so dumb and ignorant. He has no control over the show. I really wish you were smarter. For conservatives you are making us a laughingstock.
