Actually my wife and I have had a "non gift buying" pact between us for years now. We don't keep our money separate so it's kind of hard to buy a gift without the other knowing about it in advance (as we both have access to our spending accounts online).

So we just go someplace warm on vacation each year and that's our present to each other.

I'm thinking that in this case, there were other underlining reasons than just not getting a gift for this murder.

We do too. We pretty much lavish all that on our grand daughters and son and daughter (and spouses).

She did complain about the stove, though, so I spotted a real nice Samsung model on sale at HD that was half off and bought it for her a little before Christmas. My daughter was actually envious about it....made wifey happy.

Wife and I don’t buy gifts for each other either...we buy for our kids and relatives but we take the $$$ and give it to a charity here to help homeless kids.

We gave up doing ‘adult gifts’ in our house about 10 years ago. We buy for no one but the grandkids, not even each other.
We figured out that if we actually want something we buy it for ourselves anyway.
