Always leave it to CBS to cancel wholesome, down-to-earth TV shows for garbage.

Didn’t they cancel “Cheers” and “Taxi”, among others, or was it the other two twits (ABC and NBC)?

The CBS slogan is: “If it is good for America, we won’t show it”.

CBS: The most hated network in Nam, and for good reasons- Rather, Safer, Brewster, etc.

My dad thought Angie Dickinson was a hottie even in her later years.

Billie Jo Bradley...loved that show as a kid. I think Bobbi Jo was my favorite, with the dark hair.

My first little crush was Burt Ward as Robin on the “Batman” show, LOL.

RIP Ellie Mae

Too bad. She was a very nice woman.

RIP "Elly May".

"She was always happy, and she really loved animals — just like her character on 'The Beverly Hillbillies.' She was a wonderful lady, a very good Christian lady."

Indeed, when Douglas gave her autograph, she included a biblical verse ("Trust in the Lord with all your heart..."), according to New Orleans TV station WAFB.

They think they’re worth it, because they’re doing good. Just like Al Gore gets rich off global warming.

Max Baer Jr. On Donna Douglas: ‘She Was Elly May Until The Day She Died’

http://rumorfix.com/2015/01/max-baer-jr-donna-douglas-elly-may-day-died/

Max Baer Jr., who co-starred with Donna Douglas on The Beverly Hillbillies, tells RumorFix, “I loved her.”

Coming from the 77-year-old, that means a lot, because he says, “I’m such a bastard that if you’re a dick when your living — you’re a dead dick.” But he says that wasn’t the case with the 81-year-old actress, who died of pancreatic cancer Thursday at her home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
“She was Elly May until the day she died,” he tells us exclusively. “When I saw her for autograph signings or other gatherings, she always dressed the same with pink or blue” and of course those signature pigtails.
Max, who was the youngest star on the show, says, “I spoke to her on a semi-regular basis. We weren’t the kind of people who would text, but we would call each other when there was something to share.”
The Beverly Hillbillies star says the last time he saw the blonde beauty was in January 2013 for an autograph signing in Los Angeles. And, he didn’t know she was sick until she passed away.
Max says Donna had pancreatic cancer for the past four months, “but she was a very private person — nothing like me.” A friend told him Donna had a message for him: “Tell Maxie I thought I was going to get better.”
The actor, who still embraces Jethro, has fond memories of Donna and the show that made him famous: “Some of those shows — if you didn’t laugh, you had to be a pretty strange person. They were as much slapstick as Chaplin.”
With a sad tone in his voice, Max says, “I’m the last man standing. All the actors, producers — everybody on the show is gone.”

I met her in Missouri when I was 12 or so. Just a sweet and kind and sociable woman. And pretty.

Buddy Ebsen despised liberal democrats. He was a conservative. I would suspect he didn’t like the dyke part too much either.

My buddy and I were both 12 years old when the Beverly Hillbillies first came on. In no time at all he had copied Jed’s talk and mannerisms and still talks and acts like him to this very day. I feel in love with Elly May from the first minute I saw her and thought she was the prettiest woman in the world. Many a night this kid went to bed with Ms. Elly on his mind. RIP dear lady.

"As I understand it, Kulp’s campaign ran radio ads which made it sound as if her surviving beverly hillbillies cast mates supported her candidacy when they did not."

Huh, a lib actively deceiving the public. Who woulda' thunk it???

Two more great episodes,

the one where Mr. Drysdale gets sick with a cold he can’t shake and Granny talks about her cure for the common cold. Mr. Drysdale sees dollars in this and at the end, she mixes it up, gives it to him and tells him that he has to rest and drink lots of fluids and the cold will be cured in 7 days.

Possibly my favorite is when Granny is watching studio wrestling on TV and sees a little girl on TV that’s from a town near them in Arkansas and she’s in the ring getting beat up by some big monster chick. Granny runs down to the studio jumps in the ring and beats the crap out of the big monster chick. Then later on, all four (granny, Jethro, Jed and Ellie May) of them are in the ring against 4 wrestlers and it ends up that granny takes on all four of them and beat them up.
