Understood....I posted that article describing how this was a service dog for Trig mostly for the benefit of those who had insisted this was reckless. It was not.
As for the stats, your post jumped in support of them whether you meant it to or not. Labs are far less likely to bite than many breeds - it’s just that there’s so many labs - of all colors - that those stats are meaningless because they are not pro rata.
My only concern for Trig, or any child, is that while their own dog may not bite, they still need to be taught that that is a no no in general. Step on a strange dog, might get nipped.
