True, but I don’t think Trig was stepping on “a dog” per se - he was just doing what he does with HIS dog, his special companion.

Might...but it didn't happen. Why the concern? Did you step on a dog and get bit?
Perhaps you are fearful of more things than you oughta be and worry overmuch about the dire possibilities that might happen to someone sometime in their life...such as evading asteroids when they strike without warning.
