Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is not suspended from Sundays playoff game after all.
Suh has won the appeal of his one-game suspension and will play on Sunday at Dallas.
Instead of getting suspended, Suh will be fined $70,000. Thats actually a more harsh financial penalty than a suspension would have been, as players on wild card teams are paid $22,000 for their first playoff game.

The king of thug ball. The league saved his team and let him have a pass. The guy has priors and the team be damned. He needs to have stronger action taken or he’ll just step on the next guy.

I’m sure there are. That type of bush league play Suh practices has no place.

We need to start a meme that the players in those commercials are themselves wife-beaters.Except for Eli Manning! Unless he's the one getting beat up at home....hey - maybe thats why Mary J. Blige is on one of them - females beating up their spouses?

The NFL is run by money and gambling interests. Suspending Suh would potentially cost some high rollers a lot of cash. The NFL, having sold out long ago anyway, did the only honorable thing, and buckled.
To: Perdogg
I expected something like this to happen. Suspensions are almost always appealed, and rarely happen right away.

As a Packer Owner I am appalled at this. What BS. Were you as appalled at that phantom TD they gave Rodgers when his knee/thigh was down at the 1-2 yard line and his torso was straight up ? ;) Football has it's own version of the Jordan rules. However SUH is a jerk

Pro athletes have an amazing sense of body control and situation awareness. If it was truly accidental, wouldn’t he have looked down to see who he stepped on? He clearly knew who was back there, or he would have made an effort to avoid the second step in case it was a teammate.
Even though I’m a Packers fan, I do get why the league did this. Banning one of the top players for a playoff game is pretty draconian.

The NFL is run by money and gambling interests. And TV. It's basically a reality TV show.

Live sports (which essentially eliminates DVRing past commercials) is the only hot deal in TV today.
It’s drawing HUGE money in TV contracts.
That’s why pro players and coaches at all levels are making huge salaries compared to past eras.

Just like the Vick deal, this has zero with what’s right and everything to do with the extra revenue from folks (like me) that will tune in just to see what this big bully will do next.
