Johnny Manziel threw a party Friday night that was attended by multiple members of the Cleveland Browns, triggering a tumultuous weekend during which several players were punished by the team, according to multiple reports.
The Browns also fined Manziel on Saturday for being late for treatment on his injured hamstring...

As a Browns fan, I hate to be proven right when I said Manziel would be a bust.
After his series of failures I don’t know if even the carnies would take him...
Hey, leave Johnny out of this, he's already in the Hall of Fame.....
Jeff George had a million dollar arm and 10 cent head. Johnny Football appears to have the same head on his shoulders. The value of his arm remains to be seen.
I don’t think Dallas had any intention of drafting Manziel. That was churned up by the Scribbler and Babbler profession.
Nobody except Charles Manson is as bad as Ryan Leaf. Ask anybody in San Diego.
Johnny Popcorn. That’s what they’ll be calling him when he’s ranging up and down the stadium aisles selling the stuff.
Only question is, how long until Manziel joins Leaf in jail?
I heard there was a book on Leaf’s unraveling. Or maybe it’s just in progress.
Instead, I'd be on that practice field from dawn to dusk, attempting to salvage my professional football career. Or if I were injured, I'd be hanging out with the coaches and watching tapes. I certainly wouldn't be throwing rowdy parties!
Gordon, last years reception leader, has been in and out of trouble his whole career including college. Neither one seems to have the grit to cut the mustard in the pro game, and may not be back despite their potential. Potential doesn't win games.
Same with Manziel. He wasted his rookie year by not working hard to prepare. When the call came down a couple weeks back he was flatfooted and disgraced himself against the Bengals. I doubt he has a future in football. He was outplayed yesterday by Connor Shaw the QB from the practice squad.
The Browns have failed the last 15 years because they have had crappy leadership at the top, who have not established a serious culture. You could see it in press conferences, with coaches making light of questions and laughing off misbehavior in the past.
The players pick up on that and end up partying before a game instead of after. Kind of sums it up.
At least he hasn’t done anything Tim Tebow ever did...

Winning in the NFL is rare for Heisman QBs
Since 1950, 27 quarterbacks have been selected as the Heisman Trophy winner. Of those 27, only 20 started at quarterback in at least one NFL game. Among those 20, only four quarterbacks have a winning record in the NFL (regular season). Robert Griffin III is the only Heisman winner with a career passer rating over 90 in the NFL (90.8). Since 1950, the combined NFL winning percentage for quarterbacks who won the Heisman Trophy is under .500 (480-501-4, .489).
