Two female Mexican bullfighters, one a single mother competing for the first time in three years, have been gored in a bloody annual festival.
The two fighters, Karla de los Angeles and Lupita Lopez, were taking part in an all-women event called the "festejo de damas", alongside Hilda Tenorio. The event was staged at one of the world's biggest bullrings, Plaza Mexico.
De los Angeles, one of Mexico's best-known female bullfighters, was fighting for the first time since she withdrew from the sport in 2011 to look after her young daughter.
Before the fight, she had spoken of her dream of becoming a matador - a master bullfighter - and made national headlines by saying "being a mother is not an impediment".
During her fight, the 25-year-old was struck twice by the bull, known as Gamusino. The first injury came when the animal tossed the fighter over its head as she went for the killer blow.

I’m always on the bull’s side, even with chick matadors.

Pamplona doesn’t seem to entail anything worse for the bulls than foolish people getting in their way... probably great sport for the bulls.
Then there is US style bull wrestling. One cowboy vs. one bull, hands to horns. Probably doesn’t do anything worse than mildly annoy the bull, but it can do a number on the cowboy.

"Cajón" = Wedding chest, Trousseau, Cedar chest
"Cojón" = Testicle
It's traditional in Spain anyway, to serve una sopa de cojones (Testicle Soup) after the bullfight in which, of course, the bull is presumed to have lost.

Then there is US style bull wrestling. One cowboy vs. one bull, hands to horns. Sounds rather reminiscent of Cretan Bull Dancing.

Gracias.
Actually, I should have known. A "Cajon" here in South Texas a form of
hand drum.

“is there ever a goring that isnt vicious?”
AH! That is where ‘editorializing’ and ‘opinion’ begin instead of simply reporting news! The ‘editorializing’ and ‘opinion’ begin simply then expands so that ‘news’ becomes ‘editorializing’ and ‘opinion’ 100%. That is how the MSM operates and has been operating for a LOT of years!

I watched the video. Question: In the first segment, were the ‘fans’ applauding for the matadoress or were they applauding for the bull?
I hope that they were applauding for the bull! ;-)

Yes, it does seem like this bull has a problem with women.

If you don’t want to be gored, don’t taunt the bulls. Good going bulls!
