Skiers trying to make their way to and from French Alps resorts were plunged into chaos on Saturday night as 15,000 cars were trapped on the roads and emergency overnight centres were set up to shelter trapped tourists.
Across the Savoie region, thousands of people were trapped in their cars, snowed in their chalets or stranded at airports as long-awaited snow finally dumped on the Alps - several feet, in some places.

For exploding warmunist heads, just lay out the following for them to address:
1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.
2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.
3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet’
4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.
5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.
6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.
7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.

Yea, I noticed that trend to. Only 50 years ago, New York NEVER got cold in the winter or hot in the summer - it was like Southern California, just mild, all year long. But now...not only do they get cold in the winter, THEY ALSO GET SNOW, and have hot days in the summer.
This is NOT GOOD, and no one can convince me that the climate hasn’t changed. I’ve seen hundreds of photos of New York City from 50 or more years ago, and NOT A SINGLE ONE has snow in it. Therefore, it never snowed.
Hopefully we can put those CLIMATE DENIERS in their place.

I think gloBULL warming is kind of like a medieval question designed to stump religious leaders. How many angels can fit on the head of a pin? Will man made CO2 cause warming?

Then the follow on question is “optimal for whom”?
And rather than “Define”, “Identify”.

How longly-awaited was this snowfall? Was it completely and thoroughly predicted by the weather guessers, or is this more a statement that the region had been hit by drought and could use the moisture? If it was completely and thoroughly predicted then this is a teachable moment to the strandees.
