Even better than listening to ex-players is listening to current players describing the plays they were involved in, which is exactly what we had an opportunity to do when Tony Romo talked in detail about his TD throw to Witten during the post-game press conference on Sunday.
What we'll do for the rest of this post is go through what Romo said word-for-word and see how that fits with the game tape that we have.

Only since 1972. :-)
I guess by the time I was 8, so that’s 1975. I don’t know how much of a ride they’ve got in them this time, but it’s been fun watching. And I haven’t been able to say that for a while. Hell, my son (17 now) has never even seen them win a Super Bowl.
Lord I hope not!
Not in my house. Not now. Not ever.
Got to the TV about 10 minutes into the 1st Qtr and was surprised at the 14-0 score.
Romo was fired up. Even Weeden’s throw for a TD was outstanding.
However, it seems if teams have ‘clinched’ their conference, they don’t play as hard. The Colts had already clinched their division. Maybe they were just tuckered out.
Not too sure. Don’t think I’ve seen any Cowpokes fans in these here parts. Bend, have you?
I’m a fan of anybody playing Dallas ;-)
I love Rodeo! Big fan of REAL cowboys!
yup loved them all....Hoppy, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger, Maverick, Wild Bill Hickok, Paladin, the Cartwrights, Matt Dillon, the Earps and Doc, William Muny, Captains McCrae and Call,
the list goes on...and Ole Rooster/JB Books, Iron Duke Wayne, even played Feetsball at USC.
I was born wearing a Roger Staubach jersey!
That’s Sivana household.
Got you beat there, since the 60’s. Huge Staubach fan.
Always loved the comment by Landry to the question whether they could stop some Green Bay running back: if they stay between the sidelines, Lee Roy (Jordan) will get em.
Go Cowboys!!! They look awesome and I think they could beat anybody
bump for later entertainment.
With Murray healthy and Romo focused, AND the offensive line they’ve been building for the last 5 drafts, the pieces are coming together. I like Jason Garrett’s Landryesque sideline style, and there are fewer thugs and more in the mold of Staubach and Smith (Jason Witten comes to mind).
Now, if we could only fire the owner...
The jargon makes it sound more complicated than it really is. If you’ve been doing a job for 10 plus years, you better be pretty good at it.
Even jobs at McDonalds or Wal-Mart can sound complicated to a novice.
I love cowboys. Also farmers.
Pampered athletes, not so much.
Washington Redskins fans to hold wake at bar during game against Eagles to mourn the season
