Here's The Most Educated Town In Every State
Business Insider ^ | 12/20/2014 | Andy Kiersz

We recently looked at the most affluent towns in every U.S. state. Now we're turning our attention to educational achievement.

The American Community Survey is an annual survey run by the Census Bureau to allow the government, corporate and academic researchers, and anyone who is curious about demographics to better understand the population of the U.S. Among many other subjects, the ACS includes questions about respondents' education levels.

Using the 2008-2012 ACS estimates for places with at least 1,000 population, Business Insider made a map showing, for each state, the town with the highest percentage of adults over 25 who have at least a bachelor's degree:

Many of these are just small burgs

Believe it. Maunawili, Hawaii is not a town at all, just a small housing tract/community. Nothing there but a few dozen houses.

Look for it on Google Earth if you do not believe it. Nice little housing area, but sure not a town. Kailua is the only nearby town.

“The most educated town in Wyoming is Moose Wilson Road? They couldn’t field an entire town? Sheesh.”

I had completely missed that-———very funny.

Wife and I were married in Incline Village many moons ago, at Ponderosa Ranch. We must be smart. :)

Nichols Hills OK is not “outside” Oklahoma City. More correctly, it is totally surrounded by OKC and another suburb, The Village. It is an incorporated city with its own city council and government services like police and fire.

Nichols Hills was begun by a developer who had developed other neighborhoods in central OKC but wanted this one to stand on its own and be more exclusive than any other previous neighborhood development. Then, and today, it is home to many of the area’s financial/business movers and shakers.

One of the first things I noticed I have never heard of most of these towns.

The probably all are small incorporated affluent suburbs of either the state capitol, business center or major university town.
