It is an interesting thought. Since they have video of the area where it occurred, I'm sure The DA looked at the tape for as far back as either of them were on it. Since the victim had been in the waiting area long enough to fall asleep, whatever might have happened must have been quite some time before. It begs the question of why the cop waited between the hypothetical first encounter and the assault encounter.

What occurred apparently is assault under the color of law, pejury, submitting a false police report etc. Do you imagine there is some back story that would justify such behavior by a sworn police officer?
