Texas- Fewest High School Graduates Per Capita.
Gee, could it be because many of them don’t “Habla Ingles”?
Good point. Since this is a Yahoo.com article, I'm guessing that some "worsts" were picked for political reasons.
Ya but they have more stoop labor jobs paying zip...
Of course the fat corps love it....And some of these morons want to elect to POTUS the guy who stood by for the past 15 years presided over that Texas conversion.
Anyone who has ever driven in the Seattle metro plex will know that this is flat out WRONG!
Idaho: Worst drivers
Fortunately, drivers in Idaho do not cause the most road accidents, since few people live in Idaho or really need to drive through the state on their way somewhere else. The next-worst places in this survey were the District of Columbia and New York, which makes sense, given their reputations. Apparently, Idahos drivers are just total jerks behind the wheel.
Latinos are notoriously anti-education, particularly the poorest immigrant here without documentation. Perhaps you’ve heard of them.
They are counting the per capita percentage of adults in the state with a high school diploma, and years ago for some reason, not the graduation rate of Texas students.
“Rick Perry says Texas has third-highest high school graduation rates”
Politifact” “We rate this statement as Mostly True.”
“”Perry said Texas has the nations third-highest high school graduation rate, which he called a significant turnaround from a few years ago.
Texas tied with five states for the third-highest rate in 2011, of 86 percent. Then again, three states had higher rates, meaning Texas might better be described as fourth-ranked.””
People also don’t know that while Texas and California have the exact same percentage of Hispanics, Texas has about double the black population of California.
Besides, as I pointed out earlier, this isn’t about the graduation rate of Texas high schools, which is fine.
When a substantial minority come from a country where a fifth grade education is common, it isn’t TEXAS’ fault that there aren’t more high school graduates.
