Formerly the "Fans of Quinn and Rose Discussion" thread, our group been meeting here since 2008. We still hold out hope that our favorite talk show hosts will come back on the air but, whether they do or not, our friendly group will still meet to start the day. So if you are preparing to go to work, are getting home from work - or happily retired - stop in and say mornin' and share the latest news, discuss the weather, share a recipe, or whatever!

QUINN up and tweeting (”We need another Bush or Clinton like Michael Moore needs another Twinkie”). And I agree....NO MORE Bushes, Clintons, Obamas, Kennedys, Cuomos, et al...NO DYNASTY FAMILIES.
And did you see that our “conservative” US Senator, Pat Toomey, DID NOT VOTE w/Ted Cruz on the “point of order” that Dear Leader was acting OUTSIDE the Constitution? I think (and HOPEtm) he get PRIMARIED! That vote was SYMBOLIC and Toomey couldn’t stand w/the Conservatives?!?
I stayed up to bake again. I need a self cleaning kitchen. Sigh ..

I baked peanut butter cookies last night. I had no intention of making drop cookies of any kind, but that’s what one ‘customer’ ordered. I’ll be making choc chip tonight. Tomorrow trying a new cookie - Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints, and I’ll make ladylocks on Friday - fill them on Saturday, then I’m DONE! (I hope)

I cannot make “pretty” uniform size, Lady Locks...and wonderful OLD dowel rods were “used” by sons several summers ago for “something.” Fortunately...this “borrowing” happened after daughter’s wedding (what still call “CookiePalooza”). Lady locks have t been the same since I bought “new” lumber.
I’m off baking TIL Saturday...I’ll have everything clean and out away by then...to start all over again!

I agree...But w/Toomey I see it almost as a personal “thing” against Cruz. Remember when Rand Paul filibustered (and Cruz/Lee/Sessions STOOD w/Paul...and Toomey, the “Conservative” was off at a special “dinner” w/Dear Leader—and got to ride to dinner in the “Beast” and everything!) and a day or so AFTER the filibuster, Toomey was interviewed and made some really snarky, almost HS sounding diss against those who “stood.” We (the Q/R thread were ALL pretty livid at the time).
Toomey needs primaried...but is there any TeaParty type here in PA they could beat him?!?
My Ladylocks look ‘so-so’, but taste good. As far as I’m concerned, taste trumps looks, although looks definitely helps!! NOBODY touches my dowel rods!! I have clothespins too. Both work well.
I haven’t tried them yet. I’ll let you know how they turn out!

About two weeks ago KDKA did a piece on the liberal that ran against Toomey. The “reporter” was that DeLano goofball, the same person that ran hit piece after hit piece on Rick. KDKA don’t tell you that Delano is a Democratic advisor.
I have long wondered whether John Delano is actually related to FDR. I figured the President’s middle name had to come from somewhere.
He could be. Both are slimy SOBs. KDKA should be made to come clean and say that DeLano is a democratic advisor.
I’d like to see Patty Weaver challenge him.
I think Glen Meakem would be the guy. He’s definitely a Conservative, could whip Toomey to a pulp in any debate and has the $$$ to make the run. I sent him emails in the past encouraging him to primary Toomey back during his gun control nonsense.
