Yep. Good for current QB Rivers, not so much for former QB and current coach Harbaugh. He’s probably on the phone with Michigan tomorrow morning.

due to differences in CONF record, there is only one true 3-way tie.
KC-PT-MIA ... which is broken by KC head2head sweep vs PT & MIA.
In the NFC, at 10-6, DALLAS has clinched the wildcard tiebreaker over GB and over SEA. The 3-way tie at 10-6, with PHIL as East winner:
SEA #5, DAL #6, GB IS OUT.
AZ vs. GB:
WILDCARD TIE AT 11-5
if GB 11th win is versus TB, GB IS #6 SEED.
if GB 11th win is versus DET and DET is also 11-5 (win DIV), then GB IS #5 seed due to common games with SEA (AND SEA gets #6 seed).
#5 seed gets to play SOUTH DIV winner.
Yay for SD; SF should be ashamed. Pathetic.
from today’s BostonGlobe.com:
“The biggest story of the week, football-wise, was the Bears announcing that Jay Cutler has been benched for the final two games of the season. The Bears didnt make this move because they believe in backup Jimmy Clausen, or as a last-ditch effort by coach Marc Trestman to save his job. That ship has likely sailed.
No, the benching means the Bears are going to try to trade Cutler this offseason, according to league insiders specifically before 4 p.m. on March 12. Cutlers massive seven-year contract calls for him to get a $10 million guarantee on the third day of the 2015 league year. If he is injured on that date, a $10 million guarantee for 2016 also triggers.
So, benching Cutler for the final two games ensures that he wont suffer an injury, and the Bears will actively try to shop him this offseason. While Cutler has been a major disappointment, and has almost $32 million due to him over the next two years, he might be worth one last try for a quarterback-desperate team such as Tennessee, Tampa Bay, Washington, Cleveland, or Houston. Given that the trade will be a salary dump, the Bears likely wont get much more than a sixth- or seventh-round pick for Cutler.”
My ATS picks for 1pm games: MIN+7, KC+3, TB+13
Wish me luck...
Go Cardinals
And Johnny Cleveland, Chapter Two... has him 3 for 8 in a 3 to 3 tie with Cam near the end of the first half.
There not good football games on LA TV oh well I watch your buddy Drunk Bill Holden in the movie Picnic on Gettv
I got question for NFL Freepers
Who out drink who
Drunk Bill Holden
Freeper own Bender LOL!
Mark my word work on street of Frisco Oaktown according to my Bay area relatives
Ole Jim Harbrugh going take that Wolverine job
He should. He’ll never get either that pay or job security in the NFL.
Chiefs in a good one at the Pittsburgers but KC should have taken the points just before halftime. I understand the gamble but I hope it don’t come back to bite us in the end.
CGato
it’s an 8-game jamboree for 90 minutes ... I’m off to watch 8 football games. Or something.
Yes. It’s amazing how much better a team looks when they don’t have, what, 4 turnovers per game.
Picnic was never one of my favorite Bill Holden films, he was too old at 37 to play the love interest of a 22-year old Kim Novak-- BUT that was the way of Hollywood at the time.
There are so many good films of his such as Rachel and the Stranger, Sunset Boulevard, Union Station, Force of Arms, Stalag 17, Executive Suite, The Bridges at Toko-Ri, Sabrina, Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing, Toward the Unknown, The Bridge on the River Kwai, The Horse Soldiers, The World of Suzie Wong, Satan Never Sleeps, The Counterfeit Traitor, Alvarez Kelly, The Devil's Brigade, Wild Rovers, The Revengers, Network, Damien: Omen II and my favorites The Wild Bunch and Blake Edwards' S.O.B.
If you want to see him actually drinking while acting, watch Paris When It Sizzles. Bill has a brief love affair that did not end well with Audrey Hepburn when they did Sabrina together ten years before and he still carried a torch for her. He spoke about it:
"I remember the day I arrived at Orly Airport for Paris When It Sizzles. I could hear my footsteps echoing against the walls of the transit corridor, just like a condemned man walking the last mile. I realized that I had to face Audrey and I had to deal with my drinking. And I didnt think I could handle either situation."
When ever I think of Bill so saddly dying alone too damn drunk to treat a cut on his head I always add "--but for the grace of God that could have been me--"
Im recording that game
BTW Johnny Boy injured-- Panthers safety Colin Jones hit Manziel by the sideline on a designed quarterback run. Manziel got up and headed back toward the huddle but quickly fell back down. Trainers examined his hamstring for a few minutes on the field and a few minutes on the sideline before taking him into the locker room for halftime.
