This is dumb, and it’s not science.

If the more recent ones are “filched” then they are not there to become the older ones.

This author doesn’t explain the crap on the tv in the office. Either some CNN health channel with constant ads for medications or some version of divorce court. I’d like to see Velocity channel playing just once.

I always complain about the lack of yatching publications. I’ve already learned everything about golfing, the heartbreak of toenail fungus, mating habits of unknown celebrities, decorating ideas for your igloo and other assorted collections of useless information. I can’t afford a subscription to keep up with the latest fads for my yacht.

A few years ago I read that “People” was going out of business. I speculated it would take about 300 years for them to be disappear from waiting rooms of the world.

The reading material in my practice’s lobby (not “waiting room”) is lousy. We usually don’t keep our clients out there long enough to need it.

Not to nitpick but do you know what “hugh” means?

Series? I'm going to be in the shower. Please tell me what you find out.

Maybe one of the freepers that knows how can post a link to the freeper lexicon for you. These are all things that have been misspelled in the past on threads, leading to a permanent place in freeperdom. And don’t forget to jump in the shower and stune your beeber.

I thought they stocked little read publications like Time Magazine to cut down on theft.

As a matter of policy in our office, TIME Pamphlet is read only by bacteria in the waste basket. Our patients are coming to us to have some unpleasant things done to them. Why compound the experience.

That I can explain. . . there are companies that come to doctor's offices offering to make specialty loop disks or video feed for their waiting rooms featuring health issues for their specialties even mentioning the doctor's in the office. The company will provide the disk, or now, an Internet connection for a streaming site feed, the video equipment, maintenance, usually for free. . . because there will be advertising.

Many large medical services such as Kaiser make their own, without the advertising (except their own institutional) and just include health support information or subscribe to services that provide that informational programing for them. Why entertain their patients why their waiting. . . after all no crisis should go to waste, you know.

Incidentally, a lot of those magazines come in just as free. . . or heavily discounted because of specialty advertising inserted. We try to avoid those. Why add to what the patients think they need? They get enough of that from TV drug advertising.

Divorce court. . . that's just regular daytime TV. . . LOL.
